With the blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America and in consultation with His Eminence Metropolitan Sevastianos of Atlanta, Dr. Anthony J. Limberakis, National Commander of the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, has appointed Archon Frank Boardman Regional Commander for North and South Carolina, along with Archons Dr. Terry Sarantou and Stephanos G. Trakas. They succeed Archon Harry T. Cavalaris, who has retired, and has accepted the Commander’s invitation to assume Emeritus status, in recognition of his many years of service.

Dr. Limberakis stated: “Archon Frank Boardman is Chairman of the Archon Metropolis and Parish Education Committee, and was among those who gave selflessly of their Time, Talent and Treasure to make Archon Sunday a reality. He worked with other Engagement Committee members to develop a six- to seven-minute script for the Archons, enabling them to explain succinctly in their parishes about the mission of the Archons, the importance of the Ecumenical Patriarch, the threats to the Ecumenical Patriarchate, and more. I am delighted to make this appointment and am certain that Archon Frank will be an energetic and effective Regional Commander.”

Archon Boardman stated: “As a leader in the Hospitality industry, I endeavor to blend creativity with business. I’m grateful to have this opportunity as Regional Commander to bring both my business experience and creative impulse to bear in working for the protection and defense of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, and am looking forward to working even more closely with Archons Sarantou and Trakas.”

Archon Frank Paul Boardman, AIA, NCIDQ, a licensed architect with extensive expertise in Byzantine architecture and interiors, has served as Chair of the Metropolis of Atlanta Parish Facilities Committee since 1992. In this role, he works with the Metropolitan and advises the Metropolis’s 75 parishes on matters of new construction, renovations, and expansions of churches and parish halls. He also provides guidance on the proper presentation and integration of iconography and church fixtures within the sacred spaces. Frank and his family are devoted members of Holy Trinity Cathedral in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Frank Boardman was invested as Archon on October 22, 2017 and conferred with the offikion Maestor.
