On Thursday, July 7, 2022, Dr. Anthony J. Limberakis, National Commander of the Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle, Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, and Chair of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation, presented the Archon Report at the 46th Biennial Clergy-Laity Congress in New York City. His report offered details of the remarkable productivity of the Order of Saint Andrew the Apostle over the last two eventful years.
Dr. Limberakis’ report highlighted the historic Apostolic Visit of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to the United States in 2021, and Archon Weekend 2021, which took place during His All-Holiness’ visit; the notable and inspiring success of the Archon Sprout Initiative and Engagement Committees; the Archons’ pioneering Religious Freedom Mission to Romania, Bulgaria and Greece in June 2021; the establishment and breathtakingly rapid growth of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation; and the establishment of close ties with the Archons of Greece and Europe (the Pammakaristos Brotherhood of Archons).
Dr. Limberakis offered his heartfelt appreciation of and respect for His All-Holiness; His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America; the Patriarchal Representatives to the Centennial Clergy-Laity Congress, His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, His Eminence Metropolitan Prodromos of Rethymnon and Avlopotamos, and The Very Rev.
