The Sacred Patriarchal and Stavropegial Monastery of the Entrance of the Theotokos, commonly known as Presentation of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church, as well as Malbis Memorial Church, was constructed to resemble the Chrysospyliotissa Church and the Church of Ayia Paraskevi, both of which are in Athens, Greece. The church was dedicated to the memory of Jason Malbis, a Greek Orthodox businessman who established Malbis Plantation, where the church is located. The church constitutes a stavropegic institution under the direct authority of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. The church’s exquisite hand-painted iconography is the work of the noted iconographer Spyros Tziouvaras.

While at the church, National Commander Limberakis attended a trisagion for the repose of the soul of the Reverend Father James Cleondis, a longtime servant of the Greek Orthodox community in the Mobile, Alabama area, who fell asleep in the Lord on October 30, 2020.
