Michael S. Emanuel of St. George, Bethesda, M.D., and of Holy Trinity in Westfield, NJ, was invested as Archon in 2009 and conferred with the offikion Hypomnematografos.
Archon Emanuel has served on the Parish Council of St George. Previously he was GOYA President, Sunday School Teacher, and a choir member at Holy Trinity. He also has been the GOYA President of the Holy Metropolis of New Jersey and served as Master of Ceremony for the 2006 Patriarchal Banquet and the 2008 Archon and Clergy Laity Grand Banquets.
Archon Emanuel earned his Bachelor’s degree in communications from Rutgers University, NJ, where he worked as a play-by-play radio announcer for Rutgers athletics. He is a prominent national correspondent on Fox Channel News, covering the White House and other Washington developments. Among other events during his career, thus far, he has conducted exclusive interviews with President George Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney, was the only journalist to attend President Bush’s first meeting with Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican, and has reported from Iraq and Kuwait while embedded with U. S. troops.
