On Sunday, February 25, Regional Commanders Jim Speros and Costa Sideridis presented an extensive overview of the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate to over 250 people at the St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church in Braintree, MA. Regional Commander Sideridis also discussed the upcoming Religious Freedom Conference in Athens, Greece as an example of one of the Archon’s major initiatives. All who attended said they had learned a great deal about the Archons, the history church, the plight of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and what the Archons are doing to ensure the future of the Holy Mother Church in Constantinople.
In addition, during the Divine Liturgy, one of our beloved and selfless Archons in attendance – Mr. John Lagadinos – announced he would pay off the remaining balance on St. Catherine’s mortgage. A true and humbling act of generosity and love for the church on the first Sunday of the Triodion.
