On November 19, 2022, the Archons of Greater Philadelphia presented a symposium on the life of the Ecumenical Patriarchate during the Ottoman period, as well as on the history and legacy of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the ethnic cleansing of the Greek community in Smyrna in 1922, delivered by Archon Tom Papademetriou. The event was presided by Archbishop Elpidophoros of America and organized by Regional Commander Dr. Cary J. Limberakis at Saint Thomas Greek Orthodox Church in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
