Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko welcomed the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew at the Boryspil airport for his first-ever visit to the Ukraine. The Ecumenical Patriarch participated in celebrations marking the 1020th anniversary of the Baptism of Kievan-Russia to Orthodox Christianity.
